Following the previously released trailer and screenshots for Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Activision has gone ahead and released more information, screens and a brand new trailer for E3 2011.

The game is set to be released in fall 2011 and the plot will involve Alchemax scientist Walker Sloane from the year 2099 looking to gain power and fortune by travelling back in time to present day and finding Alchemax using his knowledge of future technology.

Unfortunately, this causes the future of 2099 to change to one where Alchemax rules the world with an iron fist.  Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O’Hara) is aware of the plan and finds out that Sloane’s actions are not only responsible for the changes in the timeline but will also cause the death of present say Spider-Man (Peter Parker) at the hands of Anti-Venom.

Both Spider-Men must work together to save the future and Peter Parker’s life!

Sounds great right? gameplay wise the game will feature a ”cause-and-effect” gameplay system where one of Spider-Man’s actions will effect the other or vice versa.
