Take the creators of Devil May Cry and ask them to create an RPG that is a cross between Monster Hunter and Oblivion and the result is Capcom’s Dragon Dogma.

That’s right, Hideaki Itsuno (director) and Hiroyuki Kobayashi (producer) of Devil May Cry are working on this medieval fantasy game with swords, shields, dragons, mages and griffins.

Moving away from the traditional linear world, the game is an open ended RPG  similar to Oblivion. Capcom has released some new screens and you can check them out below.

Looks pretty awesome right? the game will be out on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2012.
